Hennessey’s 700-HP Goliath Is the Truck the Apocalypse Is Afraid Of

I’ve seen a lot of custom trucks in my life, but when I first saw the new Hennessey Goliath 700 GMC Sierra AT4, my immediate thought was: this thing looks like it just swallowed a Ford F-150. It has a ridiculously long name that I honestly can’t ever remember, but its presence? That is something I don’t think I’ll ever forget.

I’ve always thought factory trucks are great but they still leave behind some performance potential undiscovered. That’s why I went to see what Hennessey build there, and they surprised me with the custom 700 GMC Sierra AT4 which looks like it can handle the apocalypse without a problem.

Power Upgrade I Personally Like the Most

We get 6.2-liter V8 as a default for the GMC Sierra which generates 420 horsepower. This is decent, but decent doesn’t get you noticed. Hennessey added a large Twin Screw supercharger, and I think the results are pretty amazing.

  • Stock Power: 420 hp & 495 lb-ft of torque
  • Goliath Power: 700 hp & 611 lb-ft of torque
  • 0 to 60 mph: A blistering 4.2 seconds

With just a little more effort, I think Hennessey could’ve easily hit double the factory numbers. We all know they have the tuning skills to do so. Honestly, dropping the 0-60 time to 4.2 seconds in something this huge is unbelievable. I did expect sharper throttle response, and more giddy-up for a high-end build, and this supercharger setup gives just that.

Exterior Details

I personally like a truck that commands immediate respect, and the Goliath 700 has that “move-out-of-the-way” attitude down to a science. When this giant inches closer in your rearview mirror, I think most drivers are going to change lanes immediately.

Here are the specific upgrades Hennessey added that I personally think make the biggest impact:

  • The Armor: Custom Goliath offers tank like steel bumpers in the front and rear giving it a rough and rugged look.
  • The Carbon Details: The exposed carbon fiber sport hood applique and the matching tailgate look great and combine two contrasting styles is my personal favorite from this custom built.
  • The Stance: it has complete off-road look with 20 inch wheels and 35 inch tires along with BDS suspension upgrade and the Multimatic DSSV shocks and custom upper control arms to hold the truck higher off the ground.
  • The Lighting: i also like the 40 inch LED light bar and 3 inch LED pod lights in the front. this is the best for night driving, it gives you clear vision on road.

Interior Details

Interior shows that the Hennessey was not going to let you sacrifice comfort for power. It has headrests with the Hennessey logo, all-weather floor mats, and a dash plaque showing the truck’s serial number. In my opinion, the plaque is a fantastic feature because it shows to all that you are driving a very exclusive truck.

They built a machine for people who expect more than what a factory assembly line can offer. Whether you want to pull up to a high-end resort or stretch its legs on an open Texas highway, I suggest the Goliath 700 is one of the most versatile, terrifyingly fun trucks on the market right now. Plus, they back it with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty, which I think gives you the perfect peace of mind to actually drive it like you stole it.
