Engine & Performance
Bajaj Pulsar RS400 is going to run on finely tuned 373.2cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder DOHC engine same we have seen in Dominar 400 and Pulsar NS400Z. But here is the twist, it has much more power output of 40-42.5 PS range with ~35 Nm of torque. Key differentiators will be its calibration:
- It will have ride modes like Sport, Road, Rain, possibly Off-road with traction control, and ABS intervention.
- RS400 will be tuned to reduce vibration and enhance touring comfort.
- Yes, it will feature quick shifter for more sportiness.
- Expected top speed is 160-170 km/h and a usable 25-30 kmpl fuel efficiency.
Design & Chassis Info
Spy shots of Bajaj Pulsar RS400 reveals similar look to that of RS200. It is likely to feature wind-tunnel-tested fairing/windscreen for better aerodynamics and full LED setup. Also, reports suggest that it will have slightly more upright riding position because of raised handlebars and a manageable seat height (expected 795-810mm).
RS400 uses 43mm USD front forks and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock for excellent driving comfort. Overall, RS400 is built to comfort and track ready performance delivery.
