We have to start with what new features we are going to see in this upcoming Xpulse 421. First major update is going to be a change in dashboard, it will now offer 4.2-inch color TFT with Bluetooth and have navigation prompts and smartphone connectivity.

Since this is built for all conditions it is going to feature ride modes like (Rain, Urban, Off-road) and switchable traction control for more stability. In the safety department we are going to see Dual-channel ABS with rear disengage, tubeless tires will also be there as an optional which was much requested from Xpulse lovers.

Other features include:

  • Full LED lighting,
  • Cruise control,
  • Quick-shifter.

Design & Chassis upgrade made only for Hero Xpulse 421

Xpulse 421 is going to have patented ADV design slightly similar to old Xpulse models like 200/210. Key changes are going to be new polygonal LED headlight with H-pattern DRLs, much more taller windscreen of 85-degree along with angular radiator shrouds.

Early renderings suggest that it will feature some design elements from Yamaha Tenere 700 like extended fuel tank panels and a high-mounted exhaust for water wading.

After many feedbacks from current Xpulse buyers Hero will be offering scooped single-piece seat and upright handlebar position to prioritize long-drive comfort. Also note that hand guards, a rear parcel rack, and knuckle protectors are going to be standard.

High Performance Engine

As per patents, Xpulse 421 is going to have 421cc single-cylinder DOHC 4-valve engine which has liquid cooling technology and 6-speed gearbox. Various reports are saying that it will have powerful output of 40-45 HP and 40-45 Nm torque.

Despite being 400cc engine it will retain its mileage at ~45 kmpl with 15-liter fuel tank enabling 600+ km touring range. We also expect it to feature Hero’s trademark vibration damping, though user demands for kick-start backup persist.
